and take nothing for granted, like the opportunity to spend one more day together and make the most of it everyday - i love you, kelly jane and can never thank you enough for your endless encouragement
when my family moved back to New York in 1985, we moved directly across the street from a kid named Geoff Eddy who was the same exact age as me and was also being raised a New York Jets fan. that era and these uniforms were everything. so, when the Jets reached out and told me these jerseys were coming back, i immediately thought of my old football card collection, playing catch out front with Geoff, and that picture of me, Geoff, JP and Dante at a preseason game in the 90’s with our chests painted. i can’t believe i put the J on backwards for this, but i think the sentiment still gets across. thank you @New York Jets for letting me share this story. the jerseys are beautiful, this is going to be a really fun year 💚
i’ve been in at least 10,500 hours of corporate meetings at a vp level. i have seen all of the shit corporate america could throw anyone’s way. till i am blue in the face or dead in the ground i will take what i’ve learned and use it for good for you. i started writing these notes for ig a while ago, before tiktok had a photos feature. i thought i’d start bringing them here for you as a reminder that if your intentions are good and your efforts are solid then you have nothing to be afraid of. ❤️, timm
don’t put candy in the eggs; write up a simple scavenger hunt, print that out, cut that up and put those pieces in the eggs - trust me, youll thank me later 🐣
top three thoughts based on 11 years of dad experience 1- as my mom told me, “they are coming into your world, don’t change your world for them” 2- take them everywhere 3- stay calm AF all the time, if your temperament and volume stays at a 5ish then you’ll never need 10 because they know you’re not playing at 7 tons of great kids books out there but these are three favs of mine to read (or they were 🥲) - i want my hat back - dragons love tacos - teddy (get the old version!) shout out @hubs.life for putting this topic on the table for discussion and congratulations to him and his wife on their pending bundle of joy
they all have stories, we’ve got about 40 more to go ps - i got most of these in my 30’s while being at an executive level in corporate america - having ink is not going to hold you back unless you let it
her og location in Carroll Gardens may be closing, but you can still go take class in Downtown Brooklyn as that one aint going anywhere - its just surreal and a bit sad to see the original spot have to shut its doors - im so proud of her and her partners for what they built and endured and i know they will thrive from here ❤️
Why After 30 It’s Gets Really F’ing Good - Goals get broader and more fun, i had this stupid goal of compensation and office size that i wanted to hit by 30 - i thought it would be a sign of growth and success but it was a vanity distraction and something that in hindsight i might have seen as a “i need to make goals like this to be a real adult” thing - but once i let that go it gave my brain time back to come up with big weird ideas that changed my career versus worrying about shit that i couldn’t fully control, and was hollow and short sighted as i look back at it - The best shit you’ll experience hasn’t hit you yet, and may not have even been created yet, say you’re 29, one of your favorite all time musicians might be 9 years old right now, Noah Kahan is 27, I’m 47 in September and the impact of his music has had on me and on my 11 year old is ❤️🥹 AND i only learned about Noah through a friend named Fritz who didn’t come into my life until i was 43 or 44 - so a new bestie, favorite meal, the most impactful art, whatever, likely is still yet to even be your radar and may not even exist yet before you’re 30 - #3 is about when you get asked “what would you say to your younger self” you’re gonna pause more, or at least i do, and here’s why… the older my ass gets the more i realize the pause is because i am still literally that same person - yes you go through tons of phases but you get to bring as much of you with you along the way as you want, so past 30 is 🥳 and still all of you right now
some tattoos will age super well; and there are a ton of variables as to why some do and some do not. i am 46 and have pieces that go back to when i was 19. lets get into the origin stories and see how well they are holding up incase this helps anyone with a permanent decision they may be considering. love, timm
