Would you stay here? 🐊🇪🇨😮 What an absolute bucket list experience 🥹🙏 Both Gurj and I were honestly a little unsure about whether or not we would enjoy this experience, but we did, wholeheartedly! ❤️ For anyone looking to travel to Ecuador and see the Amazon rainforest and it’s animals in an ethical way - I can’t recommend Napo Wildlife Centre enough 🥰🐒🦜🐍 Here is a little more info about the lodge: 🛶 We stayed 3 nights, which for us was enough. You get to do up to 2 excursions a day, 3 meals a day and snacks in between, plus a lot of free time to enjoy your amazing home above the lake 🌧️ The weather in the Amazon rainforest is intense - It’s very hot and humid. All excursions are of course weather dependant so bring rain gear as well as mosquito clothing and or repellent and sun protection. You are very close to the equator here 🦟☀️ 🕷️ Animal sightings are not guaranteed - Luckily?! 😂 I was told there are tons of tarantulas around but we didn’t see any, same came true for Anacondas. We were very happy with the animals we did spot in the end but this is something to keep in mind 🐍 ⏰ Be ready to wake up at 4:00am every day 🫠 Your naturalist guides all know the best times to see the animals and that often means to show up during sunrise 🦉 What an epic stay in the Amazon rainforest ❤️ An ethical way for animal sightings in Ecuador? Don’t miss this place on your Thailand trip! 😍 This is Khao Sok National Park and it’s a super underrated place to visit in Thailand 🇹🇭 We stayed at the Plenprai Raft House for an overnight floating bungalow experience and it was epic. How to get to Machu Picchu in Peru? ⛰️🚞🥾 Let’s just say it is a bit of a trek and this is only one of the ways to travel to Machu Picchu. We saw the northern lights 🥹 Save this for your Europe bucket list 🩵🤩 To be very honest, my expectations of the @Blue Lagoon Iceland and the reality we experienced couldn’t have been further away from each other 😅🙏 I never usually expect much of super famous tourist attractions in Europe, but I have been convinced that the Blue Lagoon and the close by Silica Hotel are an absolute must visit when travelling Europe! ✈️🇪🇺🌍🇮🇸 Here are a few things to know before visiting the Blue Lagoon and the Silica Hotel in Iceland: 🏩 The hotel is a 5 minute drive away from the lagoon but they offer shuttles 🩵 The lagoon at the hotel is man made but it has the same healing properties and you can also do a face mask there 🚿 The silica does not colour your hair green! It will leave your hair a bit dry/stubborn for a few days but they offer tons of high quality conditioner everywhere and for me, a little bit of rosemary oil did the trick 🛟 The float therapy session comes at an extra cost but is worth it if you ask me, especially for people who need a little bit more calm in their life ✈️ The Blue Lagoon is super close to the airport (KEF) so I recommend to make this the first or last stop on your Iceland itinerary 🧑‍🍳 The onsite restaurants are amazing! They even have the famous Moss Restaurant there, which is Michelin starred!
