Exploring Tokyo with the DJI Osmo Pocket 3! 🎥 Tokyo was absolutely incredible, and with it being my first time there, I wanted to see as much as possible. Two features I loved utilizing on the trip were its 3-axis gimbal stabilization and its small, pocketable size. Both of which made it easy to capture cinematic footage while out exploring. Having a camera this powerful-yet small enough to fit in my pocket-was an absolute game changer for the trip. 20mm vs 200mm focal length comparison 📸 Focal length has the power to distort or change a perspective entirely. The higher the focal length, the flatter the image, as it pulls the background closer. The lower the focal length, the further away the foreground and background can feel but the more depth can be introduced to the scene. One of my favorite techniques for capturing motion is the ‘panning shot’—where you move the camera with your subject while using a slow shutter. These were all shot at 1/8 sec handheld in Tokyo. Here are a couple tips that help: — Set your shutter speed between 1/4 to 1/30 sec depending on the speed of your subject — Move with the subject in one smooth motion and try to keep them in the same part of your frame — Use continuous autofocus if you’re shooting digital, or prefocus on a spot if you’re using manual SAVE this post for next time you want to give panning shots a try! #panningphotography #slowspeed #motionblur #streetphotography #photographytips #sonyalpha

Enough to tell the time ⏱️🔎 With the 100MP Hasselblad X2D paired with the XCD 135mm + 1.7X Teleconverter, I was able to capture enough detail to zoom in and read the time on a clock tower… from 2 miles away. From ultra-wide to super-telephoto, how much does focal length affect your portrait? Focal length has the power to completely change a perspective. I shot this with my friend @PaigeTingey to show how 20mm vs 230mm changes the look and feel of the same subject. 20mm adds drama by exaggerating space and pulling in the surroundings, which can be great for storytelling portraits with a sense of place. 230mm flattens the scene and compresses the background, making it feel more intimate and focused on the subject. The Power of Masking Pt. 9 🎨 Masking top-down shots is one of my favorite ways to edit because it adds an incredible sense of depth to an otherwise flat perspective. For this image of a tea plantation, I used radial filters to mimic warm sunlight cutting across the fields, while linear gradients helped shape the overall flow of light. The brush tool was used as a final touch to add extra contrast and detail to some of the pathways.
