I spent countless hours watching so many videos about habit building, weight loss, productivity, all while dreading waking up in the morning. I was looking outside of myself for the standards and the solutions. Then one day I woke up and thought “I’ve been in my body longer than any of these ‘experts’ have. What if I truly just have to step back and listen to her?” So I did. And I got a therapist to help me with that process. I knew what I needed to do to take care of me even when societal standards made it cloudy. I’m very proud of myself for seeing that.
