Such a simple principle that only took me 20 yrs to figure out. It's actually the plasterers I have seen in action that inspired this technique and it has changed the way I go about mist coating fresh plaster. If you watch and listen to plasterers, all they really care about is controlling suction, it's such an important step that transfers so well in painting.
