Titanic set sail on her doomed maiden voyage 112 years ago on April 10, 1912! Titanic departed Southampton on her way to New York City with 2 ports of call along the way: Cherbourg, France and Queenstown, Ireland! However Titanic nearly avoided a tragedy as she left the port of Southampton and many saw that as a bad omen for the rest of the voyage. #titanic #titanicsinking
On this day 112 years ago, Titanic sank in the Atlantic Ocean. On the morning of April 15th, 1912 Titanic slipped beneath the water claiming 1500 lives. Passengers desperately awaited rescue which would come a few hours later thanks to the RMS Carpathia. After picking up all survivors floating in the lifeboats, Carpathia set a course for New York City, Titanic’s intended destination. #titanic #titanicsinking
