In 2010 I met a boy. His name was Thomas Hamon. At the time we met he was 19 and I was 24. I was so worried about the age difference because I had just gotten out of a toxic relationship with someone who was younger than me. With time I saw that even though he was younger than me, he acted so mature for his age and was definitely more mature than me. Back then, when someone asked me about him, the first thing I would say was: If I were to make a list of all the things I would want in a boyfriend, he would check every box. I always described Thomas as the perfect man for me. Two weeks into dating we picked out names for our future kids. Now 14 years later, we have 3 kids with similar names to the ones we talked about back then. In 2010 I met a boy, in 2015 I married a man, in 2019 we became fathers, and in 2024, I’m the lucky one who woke up next to you on your 33 birthday. Happy Birthday Tmas! I love you more than you will ever know.
All the little moments, like coffee and eggs first thing in the morning or starting a new TV show at the end of the day, are really the most beautiful moments in life. Milestones are great, but it’s the seemingly mundane times that usually mean the most. #husbands #fyp
The end of an era. It may seem small, but we closed a chapter of our life this week when we sold our beloved 1999 Land Cruiser. In an effort to perpetually minimize and simplify our lives, we put it up for sale, and two days later, a man from out of town handed us a check and drove it away and that was that. I searched for over a year for the perfect Cruiser, one with low miles and in good condition, and when I found it for a great price back in 2018, it almost felt too good to be true. This was our first true “family” car that we drove our kids around in since it was bigger than Thomas’s little midsize SUV at the time and definitely bigger than my truck. This was the car we drove all over the farm in, to the beach and back, and around town. Land Cruisers are known to be able to withstand most conditions and terrains, and usually only gain value as they age. It’s a beast, never giving us any troubles despite being 25 years old. It’s been with us through thick and thin the last six years, and even though we thought it’d be with us forever, sometimes a little change is good and can make way for a simpler path. We hope the new owners of this classic SUV love it as much as we do, and may it carry them through all the ups and downs life inevitably brings. #landcruiser #toyotalandcruiser
Day 2 at @Disney was an absolute blast! We woke up at #AnimalKingdomLodge and shopped at #DisneySprings, spent the day at #EPCOT, and then ended the night with an incredible firework show. It was a whirlwind of a day and one that won’t soon be forgotten! #ThisIsMagic @Disney Parks #hosted
Getting ready for our first full day in #DisneyWorld and donning our best #DisneyDad wear. The only thing missing is a fanny pack. Sharing all the items on our #LTK !! #fyp #husbands
I only know what I know, and only I know what it’s like to have loved this man for 14 years but cared about him for longer and only I know what it’s like to wake up beside him and wish I’d known him forever and only I know what it felt like when he drunkenly asked me, “Do you think we’ll last forever?” that night in his bed after only a month, but then a month turned into years and years turned into a life sharing a last name and sometimes clothes and a family and pretty much every meal together. I only know what I know, you know? ❤️
While spring is off to a rather cold and wet start this year, the beginning of a new season always brings with it feelings of optimism and endless possibilities. Happy spring! 🌷
One step closer to our farmhouse kitchen being finished! When deciding on the hardware for this space, we kept coming back to the same look and finish every time: aged brass. Paired with the dark stained cabinets, there’s a very deep sense of timelessness to them, like maybe this kitchen has always been here. Up next is countertops, and those should be in within the next few weeks! #DIY #cottage #farmhouse
Here’s how I took a $2 dated thrift store lamp and turned it into a $350 dupe. I already had all of the supplies from previous projects, and you can really just keep mixing and playing around with it until you get the look and texture you want. All of the supplies listed below: Lamp from Habitat for Humanity Ready-mix concrete from Sika Spray primer from Zinsser Caulk and spackle from Dapp purchased at @Lowe’s White paint from @Benjamin Moore Coffee grinds from @Café Bustelo Blue painters tape from Scotch #DIY #diyproject #upcycling #thrifted
Come spend the day with us as our kids (finally) go back to school, we finalize bathroom fixtures for Holiday House at #OcoeeFarm, and pick out the kitchen and bathroom countertops for it. Crawling into bed at the end of the night felt so good 😴. #dayinthelife
Our first day at @Disney! We woke up in Tennessee and ended the day in Pandora. Talk about a dream come true. A huge thank you to Disney for inviting us to their Creators Celebration!! Soooo much more to come, so stay tuned! #ThisIsMagic @Disney Parks #hosted #disneyworld #disneyvlog
All aboard the Disney Wish! Our first time on this beautiful ship and we’re in complete awe. Have you ever been on it? We got to play on an Incredibles obstacle course, drink fruity cosmic drinks in the Star Wars Galaxy Lounge, and meet Captain Minnie, and that was all this morning before 12pm. You don’t have to convince us: a Disney vacation is the best kind of vacation. PS: swipe to see how little the kids were when we met Captain Minnie two years ago! 🥹 #ThisIsMagic #disneycruiseline #hosted
What a typical day looks like in our life, from walking the kids to school to exactly how much time I spend on my computer 😂 to PJ de-worming a lamb to homework to dinner and then settling in on the couch to watch our new favorite show. What a day! #dayinthelife #Vlog #dailyvlog #adayinmylife #adayinthelife #dayinmylife #vlog
We spent the day at @Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay, where every direction you look is nothing but green plants and blue water, where the ice cream cones are unlimited, and where the memories of water slides and ropes courses will stay with us long after the sun tans have faded. Disney, how do you make everything so magical?! #ThisIsMagic #disneycruiseline @Disney Parks #hosted
