If you haven’t ridden Banff Sunshine Village then this is definitely a spot that you need to but on your shred list. Talk about a mountain that has everything for every kind of rider. We came back to Sunshine again this year because of how much fun we had the first time and let me tell you it did not disappoint again, even with a low tide snow year. Sunshine is the perfect resort for the shred family. It is a short (free) bus ride from downtown Banff and a quick hype gondola ride to the base. Not only is it simple to get there but once you are there the feeling of being one with the vast, beautiful mountain range is unmatched. The views are amazing and really give you that “Being in a far off land” kinda feel, perfect for the TuTu Shredding Princess! Some of the things that we LOVE about Sunshine are all the terrain parks. There is something for everyone from beginner to advanced. It’s always fun to hit a beginner park, get your feels and then attempt some bigger hits! Also have you ever been on a heated seat bubble chair? Yeah us either, until now. Talk about comfort and rumor has it more heated bubbles are on their way to Sunshine next year! There is so much terrain from steep groomers to rolling beginner runs and of course some epic powder spots when the snow hits. The best part, NO LIFT LINES! A bull elk was rescued from the icy waters of the Bow River in Banff National Park on Wednesday. Viewer video of the incident showed the animal had somehow fallen through the ice and into the water. Parks Canada wildlife crews soon arrived on the scene and used a tow rope as well as a chain saw to help get the animal out of the water. Guys, we did a day trip to Banff (a little town in the heart of the Rocky Mountains 1.5 hrs away) and my humom thought it would be funny to do a selfie by a freaking Sasquatch!!! AKA Bigfoot!!
