Grass Hack! Morning! Each year when I start showing my garden (around this time😂) people ask if my grass is Faux. It’s not and I use this! (not an ad just something I use and like and get asked about) I actually bought the autumn winter one and forgot to put it on 😂 so I’ve popped this on my grass this week and it’s looking a bit like the before photos at the moment but I promise you in a few weeks time it will be looking a lot healthier and in a month or so it will be looking a lot more luscious and thick. I know I’ve shared it before but so many of you have bought it, used it and loved it that I thought I’d share again. I’ll share the link in my bio and hope you find it useful! Something I never thought I would say on social media: “My pine straw made the Internet mad last week.” 😂🤦🏻‍♀️ Two times a year my amazing landscaper Robert switches out the annuals in my flowerbeds. We made this switch yesterday and I can’t wait to show you what I am putting in for summer. It’s a tried and true favorite. How to make homemade rose water with a bouquet of wilted roses?🌹✨ Ingredients: ✨ A bouquet of wilted roses (about 100g of petals) ✨ 500 ml of distilled or mineral water ✨ A saucepan ✨ A lid ✨ A bowl ✨ Ice cubes Steps: 1. The roses. If your roses were store-bought, make sure to rinse them well to remove any traces of pesticides. 2. Prepare the petals. Gently remove the petals from the wilted roses. Then, wash them gently with clean water to remove impurities. 3. Fill the saucepan. Pour the distilled or mineral water into the saucepan. Place the rose petals at the bottom of the saucepan. 4. Place the lid. Put the lid on the saucepan. 5. Add the ice cubes. Place ice cubes on top of the lid of the saucepan. 6. Heat the water. Bring the water to a gentle boil over low heat. Let it simmer for 30 minutes. 7. Retrieve the rose water. The steam will carry the essential oils from the rose petals and condense on the lid. The condensed rose water will drip back into the bowl. 8. Continue distillation. Keep heating the water and adding ice cubes to the lid until you have obtained the desired amount of rose water. 9. (Optional) Filter the rose water. Once you have retrieved the rose water, filter it using a cheesecloth or a clean cloth. Pour the filtered rose water into a sterilized glass bottle. 10. Store the rose water. Store the rose water in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 weeks. Tips: For a more fragrant rose water, you can use fresh roses. Rose water can be used as a facial toner, moisturizing mist, or natural perfume.
