Seriously the BEST exam hack of all time ✅🏆🧠👩🏽🎓 - WHAT IS SPACED REPETITION? 📆 This is a highly effective study technique where you review content at regular, increasing intervals. For example: Say you learn something in class that day. You would then review the content… —> when you get home from school —> again that weekend —> the weekend after —> in a fortnight —> in a month —> in 3 months. The beauty of Spaced Repetition is that you only need to go over your notes briefly each time. Say 15-20mins. You can make it more effective by combining it with practice questions, Flashcards, Blurting etc. This means that when exams come around, you don’t NEED to revise. You can jump straight into doing practice exams & focus on APPLICATION, which is way way way more effective than relearning theory. Ultimately, this will allow you to do much BETTER on your exams & get the top grades! ✅🏆💯 - #studyhacks #studytips #studytok #examready #examrevision #examhacks

This time-management tip will help you DO IT ALL 🧠📚🏆👩🏽🎓 - TIME-BLOCKING 📆 At the start of every day, or the night before, plan out what you’re going to do and WHEN. For example: 6-7am Gym 7-8am Get ready for school 8-12pm School 4-4:30pm Travel home 4:30-5pm Relax, Make a snack 5-6:30pm Math homework 6:30-8pm Cheerleading practice 8-9pm Dinner, Relax As they say, a task expands to fill the time it is allocated. So when you set a limit on a task, you will feel a sense of urgency to get it done, helping you stay focused and avoid distractions. It also helps you prioritise what you need to get done that day, discover where you might have time to fit in something extra, and avoid decision fatigue or feeling overwhelmed! You dont need to follow your schedule exactly 100%, just use it as a guide! 🏆✅ - #studytips #studyhacks #productivityhack #studentlife #studentproblems #studytok

The most EFFICIENT way to score full marks on your exams ✅🏆🧠👩🏽🎓 - TIMED PRACTICE ⏰ Do practice exams under full exam conditions (eg without notes, complete silence, reading time if applicable and no breaks). This is super useful in preparing for exams when you only have a short time because it helps you in 3 ways: 📕 Firstly, helping you MEMORISE the material, without having to look at your notes. Practice questions is a form of active recall, which is the most effective way to memorise content. 📕 Secondly, perfecting exam technique. I always say that you could memorise the whole textbook and still do poorly on the exam if you don’t learn how to APPLY the knowledge and how to respond to questions the way examiners want you to. By doing practice questions and comparing your exams to the marking scheme, you will develop this skill quickly! 📕 Finally, giving you an idea of how much time you have & how quick you need to be!! Exams can be long, and being able to pace yourself and stay focused for the entire duration is a skill in itself. - #studytips #studyhacks #examready #examtime #studytok #examtips #examseason

This study hack has saved my grades SO many times ✅🏆👩🏽🎓🧠 - THE FEYNMAN TECHNIQUE 👩🏽🏫: 1️⃣ Learn the content (eg. read through your textbook, write notes, watch YT videos) 2️⃣ Try to teach the subject to someone who is unfamiliar with the topic (e.g. a child, a family member, stuffed toys if desperate). Doing so will force you to simplify the content, use analogies and examples to better explain, and truly highly the areas YOU yourself don’t fully understand. It will also encourage you to commit the information to memory, as when you teach, you are saying things out loud, using body language, and fully engaging to convey your message. Extra points if you make a Presentation to go with it 💻 3️⃣ Revisit the areas that you got stuck on, and develop your understanding/better ways of explaining them. 🤔 4️⃣ Retry until perfect!! 🏆 - #studyhack #studytips #studytok #studywithme #examready #academicweapon #examseason
The BEST advice you’ll ever receive 🧠✅👩🏽🎓🏆 - THE 5 REASONS: 1️⃣ Studying for too long ⏰ - if you’re studying for hours and hours, you’re likely NOT studying effectively (eg using passive techniques - see below, getting distracted) or you’ll reach a stage where your brain is fatigued that it’s not taking in any more information. Solution: Keep your study sessions short & sharp. This will force you to stay focused and use the time effectively, and stop you from burning out. 2️⃣ Not having a plan❓- without a plan for your study sessions, you’ll find yourself drawn to subjects and tasks that are easier, but that you might not necessarily need to improve in, resulting in lots of busy work without much progress. Solution: Before any study session, plan out what you’re going to do and how much time you will allocate. Dedicate the most time to your weak areas first. 3️⃣ Passive Study 😴 - this type of study results in very low retention of information. Solution: Use Active Study techniques where possible. These are any study techniques where you do something mental or physical to engage with the information. For example, summarising and writing notes in your own words rather than just reading the textbook, or the Feynman Technique where you explain the content to someone, speaking, using examples, simplifying, answering questions etc. 4️⃣ Rote Learning without applying 🤷 - this refers to just memorising content but not actually understanding it. Students who do this often perform poorly on exams because the questions are never the same, and without understanding, you cannot apply the knowledge you have to new concepts or examples. Solution: Learn to apply through practice questions (from your textbook, practice exams or even online). 5️⃣ Giving up everything else for studies 😭 - when you prioritise study over everything else, including your hobbies, self care, social life, you are putting your mental (and physical) health at risk. You cannot perform academically if you are not in a good place mentally, so making time for these things that bring you joy is actually going to BENEFIT your grades. Additionally, what’s the point of getting good grades if you’re miserable? Solution: Deliberately schedule time during the week to do what you love. You might actually find that you’re more productive/procrastinate less because you know you only have a limited amount of time to study. - IB: @mydreamlifestyle #studyhacks #studytok #studytips #studysmarter #studentlife #students #goodgrades #studygoals
Get all your work done in RECORD time with these focus hacks! ✅🏆🧠👩🏽🎓 - THE HACKS: 1️⃣ Body Doubling 👯♀️ - go to a crowded place, such as a library or cafe, and work around other people who are being productive. This provides an external source of motivation that will keep you FOCUSED, PRODUCTIVE and EFFICIENT . 2️⃣ Study Timelapse 📲 - film a Timelapse of yourself studying. This is super motivating, and provides you with a "main character" moment cause you’re on camera!! You won't want to get distracted cause it’ll look bad, and you definitely can’t use your phone as it'll ruin the Timelapse!! . 3️⃣ Timed Practice ⏰ - set yourself a certain time to do a task. Make sure that the time you give yourself is LESS than how long you think it would take, and put a timer where it’s visible so you can see the time counting down. This will provide you with a sense of urgency, helping you stay focused - #studyhack #studytips #studytok #studentlife #students
Start using these you’ll NEVER look back ✅👩🏼🎓🧠🏆 - THE HACKS: 1️⃣ Flashcards (with a twist) - use active recall to train your brain to recognise information as important and memorise it FAST. You can get creative and use pictures/diagrams, and make it more effective with Spaced Repetition. The TWIST to make it 1000X more effective is to write down or type the answer on a blank sheet before you check if you get it right (rather than just saying it in your head) 🗂️ . 2️⃣ Application Questions - use practice questions (textbook, past year exams, online resources) to learn how to understand APPLY content rather than simply rote learn it. This will help you gain a deep understanding of the content FAST, and is also a form of active recall, making it easier to remember ✍🏽 ✍🏽 . 3️⃣ Feynman Technique - learn the content, then teach it to someone who is unfamiliar with the topic (e.g. a child). Even better if you create a presentation & use analogies/diagrams/examples. This is by far the best and FASTEST way to learn content on a deeper level 👩🏽🏫 - #StudyHacks #StudyTips #studentlife #students #studytok
You’ll be SHOCKED at how well this works! ✅🏆🧠👩🏽🎓 - THE 5 MINUTE RULE ⏰ Most people procrastinate because of 2 reasons: 1. They feel overwhelmed and dread how much work there is to do 2. They struggle to switch tasks (often from something instantly gratifying, such as TikTok) The 5 minute rule overcomes both of these reasons! 👏🏽👏🏽 To use it, tell yourself that you’re just going to study for 5 minutes. Nothing more. Once you’ve done your 5 minutes you can decide whether you’ll keep going or stop. 💚🛑 This makes the switch from whatever you’re doing to studying less daunting, which is often the hardest part. Once you start studying, you’ll find that it is not as bad as you thought it was. Even better if you do something small/simple to start with, so you can tick something off your to-do list, get an instant hit of dopamine, and bulld some self-efficacy ⚡️🔥 After this point, you’ll find it SUPER EASY to keep studying 💯 - #studyhacks #studytips #procrastination #studentproblems

I wish I had learnt this WAYY sooner ✅💯🧠👩🏽🎓 - Turn studying into a GAME 👾🎯 Make each task a quest - give them fun or challenging names, and when you’re done you unlock a booster (snack, new stationary). Make each test/assignment/exam a boss level - the revision you do is your training to get strong enough to fight. When you pass, you unlock a prize (new outfit, new game) and your score you get is your score on the leaderboard! Try it and let me know what you think 👏🏽👏🏽 - #studyhacks #studytips #studytok #examhacks #examtips #studyhelp #studygoals
Scientifically-proven to make you INSANELY focused & productive ✅🏆💻🧠 - BODY- DOUBLING 👯♀️ What is it? This is where you go to a crowded place, such as a library or cafe, with other people who are being productive. Set up to work near these people and you find however that they provide an external source of motivation that will keep you FOCUSED, PRODUCTIVE and EFFICIENT. You don’t even need to interact with them or be doing the same sort of work. Just having them there to emulate provides accountability and motivation 🏆 Try it out and be AMAZED at how well it works! 💯💯💯 - *THIS IS NOT MEDICAL ADVICE* Please speak to a specialist in ADHD for tailored management #studytips #studyhacks #productivityhacks #adhdawareness #adhdtips #studytok
