Been a month since God put me in a situation where I unlocked the strongest version of myself.🤍 I had always dreamt of delivering our baby through a normal, natural birth. However, life often has other plans, and I found myself facing an emergency C-section - countless needles and being cut open, a situation I never imagined I would encounter. When I was being prepared for surgery, I was filled with a mix of emotions- fear, pain, and it’s hard not to overthink things. But as I lay on the operating table, I discovered a strength within myself that I never knew existed. My fear was shielded with faith. It was as if I was meeting the bravest, resilient version of myself for the very first time. And then, the moment we had been waiting for arrived-the first cry of our baby. The sound of her voice filled the room with an indescribable feeling, it was the most beautiful moment. Seeing her cheeky face for the first time, all the challenges and pain from the past hours seemed to fade away. it’s a bb, yall. 🥴 it’s not even an exaggeration to say that so many dreams came true in this moment. when we were kids, I “played school” with my brother often. I was the teacher, he was the student. from those early moments on, Matt has been the one learning from others and expected to follow their lead. if you would have told me back then that someday my brother would be a teacher to my son, I may not have believed you. because as much as I learned from him, he never set out to make that his goal.
