These 2 super lovely humans came up to us at the Grocery Outlet in Mammoth, asking if we’d seen that dog that looks like my dog and prances to the happy dog song?! This isn’t an uncommon conversation for us to have with strangers — but the following response was just the best we’ve ever received. When I told them that this WAS that dog from TikTok they lost it. They were so happy and stoked to be meeting Fenix in real life. They took photos and videos and were just so incredibly kind and connected with Fenix. I still hear the happy dog song in my head whenever Fenix starts prancing 🤣 #disabledandhappy We love you. I cried, full streaming down my face, tears yesterday when I read this incredibly beautiful and vulnerable and courageous comment from @aja_kea yesterday. I wanted to share it to say thank you to every single one of you that follow Fenix and share him and like him and love him. It’s because of the kindness and sweetness and love that you have all created here, that Fenix has become such an inspiration to people. So thank you for loving him so much. Thank you for taking the time to share your kind and uplifting and supportive words here. Thank you for sharing Fenix Videos with others, in the hope that it might lift them a little too, and lighten their load 😊 Just thank you for being here 🙏 And we are starting Fenix’ rainbow bridge club on February 6. More details coming about that soon. And yes, Fenix is OK! He is alive. He is just helping me create a one hour call to support call for animal lovers in feeling and grieving together for greater support and love and healing in our own lives. We can’t wait to honor the many dogs that have been euthanized or passed recently. There are too many to share here. But we will both be honoring the dogs crossing or crossed the rainbow bridge and also learning how to use our huge big hearts, our tears, our compassion and empathy for animals to expand us into more love and caring for ourselves. It can feel like there is something wrong with us that we cry so easily and we are so moved by animals. But I believe it’s because there’s so much right with us: so much Love in us. Animal lovers are a special breed. We love big. We are big love. I can’t wait to spend some time with some of you in this way.
