Several people have asked over the years if my blackout background shirts are reverse tiedye. These all start off as blank white tee shirts and I cover each part with plastic and tie it tight with artificial sinew as I dye it. Then finally at the end I dye the background solid black. it takes a very concentrated solution of dye and several other factors that over the years I have dialed in to my liking. they do still have some uneven spots, similar to garment dyed t-shirts. Not like the solid tees you're used to buying from the stores. but I feel it gives them character and a more original appearance. #tiedye #tiedyeshirt #tiedyetutorial
