OLD WEST Horse Town in NC🐴 (❌ No Vehicles Allowed!) 😱 Nestled in a remote valley in the Brushy Mountains of Iredell County, there is a town that appears frozen in time from the 19th century (think Red Dead Redemption)! Old wooden structures, a saloon, leather shop, saddle shop, general store, rodeos, hitching posts and miles of horse trials all around; this is Love Valley, North Carolina! It has an interesting history to it as well! 😄 Andy Barker had a dream to create a Christian community inspired by the Old-West Hollywood movies he enjoyed, so in 1954 he began creating what we see today! There is a no vehicle policy through the Main Street, and it is lined with hitching posts where visitors can hitch their horses while they shop! Their population was ONLY a little over 150 in 2020! The town is not big, but it has a charm to it that will make any family member smile. This is a great for families traveling and looking for a fun place to make a pit stop!
