Perfect for any Middle-earth feast! 🌿✨ “Some call them giant bees, and some the bees of Beorn, and some just the bees,” said Gandalf. “But they are very good bees, and they make the best honey in the world.” — The Hobbit Recipe ✨ Beorn’s Honey Cakes (from the Unofficial Lord of the Rings Cookbook) ✨ Ingredients: 2 cups flour 1 tsp baking powder ½ tsp baking soda ½ tsp salt 1 tsp cinnamon ½ cup unsalted butter, softened ½ cup honey 🍯 ½ cup brown sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp vanilla extract ½ cup milk Honeycomb Candy Topping (optional but highly recommended! 🍬🐝) 1 cup sugar ¼ cup honey 2 tbsp water 1 ½ tsp baking soda Instructions: 1️⃣ Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease your beehive mold. 🏡🐝 2️⃣ Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. In another, cream butter, honey, and brown sugar until fluffy. 3️⃣ Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla. 4️⃣ Alternate adding flour mixture and milk, stirring until combined. 5️⃣ Pour batter into mold, bake for 20-25 min, or until golden. 6️⃣ For the honeycomb candy: heat sugar, honey, and water in a saucepan until golden.
