Finally got the chance to make this cake 🍫 I made this super moist cake a less sweet version, and it can be baked using oven or a steamer. I randomly crave for this San Sebastian Cheesecake the other day, so here you go! 🧀🍫 Basque Burnt Cheesecake 500g cream cheese (room temperature) 100g (1/2 cup) caster sugar 1/2 vanilla pod or 2 tsp vanilla extract 370ml (1 1/2 cup) whipping cream (room temperature) 3 large eggs 24g (3 tbsp) all-purpose flour Chocolate sauce 160g (1 cup) dark/milk chocolates 120ml (1/2 cup) whole milk 15g (1 tbsp) butter Tips & Guides: • All ingredients must be at room temperature for easier handling and to avoid lumps in your batter. • Use a smaller and tall cake tin/pan to get that thick, and creamier texture in the middle. Wider or bigger pan will cause the cheesecake to be fully set and less creamy. (I used 6” cake tin for this recipe). • I bake mine exactly at 30 minutes. If you’d prefer a fully set cheesecake, bake them for extra 5-10 minutes. • After removed from the oven, the cake will wiggle a lot when you move the pan, like a Jello! • For the chocolate sauce, I used half dark and half milk chocolate. It tastes perfectly perfect! • This is a less-sweet recipe as it meant to be eaten with the chocolate sauce. If you’d prefer without the chocolate, do add 50g (1/4 cup) caster sugar in the recipe. #sansebastiancheesecake
