Replying to @chlobow_to Being trans means having to be always brave in everyday mundane moments, and live with giving people grace constantly for their actions. Experiences like this happen too often online and in person. I wish I had the strength to correct him right away as I often do not speak up. My life has changed since coming out publically and I know all these experiences are preparing me for the reality of my life ahead. I will try to stay vulnerable, and share moments like this so other trans people, especially youth, watching my content online can find the strength to keep moving forward. I had to unfollow her. The constant shade at other influencers in her community, and saying “not like them” to make herself feel special and different is annoying. We don’t need to be better than other people, as long as we are a better version of ourselves. There’s space for all of us in the room.
