I set up a hidden eye tracker on 2 recruiters to find out exactly where they look at your resume before making a decision. Here are 5 tips I’ve learned about resumes. 1/ Recruiters typically read in an F format. They'll focus on your most recent experience (read the job title, bullets), skim through your previous job titles & companies. Tip: Order your experiences & bullets to *scream* the job you're applying for 2/ Recruiters will spend < 10 seconds reading your resume. Therefore it is your job to make it as digestible as possible. Tip: Use a standard template (A free template here: https://wonsulting.com/resumai) 3/ Avoid big blocks of text. That is the tip. 4/ Content is king. Your bullet points are going to sell you. Not the template, not the font size, spacing – your experience. Tip: If it's not in your resume, then it doesn't exist. 5/ If you want to find out everything else I learned, then follow to see it happen! It might be just the thing you need to land your next job.
