Has this ever happened to you? 😅 We all have episodes of insomnia from time to time, if it persisits please see your Doctor for diagnosis and treatment options 🫡
Not all Women’s pain is from period cramps, important to do a thorough history and physical exam and order the necessary tests to rule out other causes, such as appendicitis in this case. Side note: medical students are an integral part of the medical team and sometimes even correct attending doctors 🫡 #womenshealth #womenspain
🤯 This story is a great example of: 1. Listen to the patient when they tell you their history. She repeats she does not have Ovaries and for some reason the Doctors don't belive her 2. Don't gaslight Womens pain by labeling them as "anxious" 3. important to diagnose the underlying cause of pain, if you don't it could result in potentially serious complications #womenshealth #womenhealth #womenspain
#duet with @rachael Another example of healthcare professionals not taking Womens symptoms seriously. A common complaint is symptoms being misdiagnosed as secondary to “hormones” without the apporpriate workup. This is a great example we as healthcare providers can hopefully learn from as their is no excuse to diagnose someones symptoms occuring because of “hormones” without ruling out other causes first. Let me know if you have had a similar experience in the comments #womenshealth #womenhealth
Just like with medications, supplements also have a risk of side effects. The risk is higher if you take more than the recommended dose; sometimes you take a supplement but also obtain from food which can be hard to estimate. I always recommend to discuss with your Doctor before starting a supplement to make sure the benefit outweighs the risk and to make sure you have the correct dosing depending on your medical history 🫡
