A beacon of hope for women everywhere, waiting to FINALLY get their partner on April Fools 🫠 He gets me EVERY.YEAR. Like even legitimately when we first started dating. (On our first April 1, I was out with some friends and he texted me that he had accidentally melted my brand new @pyrexhome lids in the oven, not realizing they’re not oven proof 🤣🤣 I was so sad 🫠) And every year he thwarts my tricks. BUT THIS YEAR, this year I recruited my kids and we set up an elaborate scene. Our washer is on the fritz so we faked an issue. He called within a minute to help and I had to hang up half way through our call because I couldn’t hold my laughter in any more. My daughter and I fell on the ground laughing so hard and I hope it was as much of a core memory for her as it was for me! ‘Til next year 🤭 For now, I’m going to just bask in the glory of winning for once! #AprilFools #aprilfool #aprilfoolsprank #aprilfoolsjoke #aprilfoolsday #husbandandwife #husbandandwifejokes #marriagehumor

Supplies & Directions ⬇️🌈✨ There are some really common kid’s techniques that I feel are like the capsule wardrobe of the kid’s craft world. Once you’ve got those down, they’re so easy to modify for different themes, seasons, and holidays!! From now until Easter, I’ll be sharing 10 different techniques to decorate this paper egg template. I’m hoping through this series you’ll be inspired by a new process art! For reference, my girls are 6 and 9 so each of the activities will be great for that age range (and usually an even wider range than that!) This is technique number 3 of 10. Be sure to follow me @emerald_outlaw to see all of the techniques!!! Supplies: White cardstock or watercolor paper Egg Template (DM on IG to get it!) Water Paint Brush Crepe Paper or Tissue Paper Scissors Directions: 1. Cut small pieces of crepe paper or tissue paper. 2. Lightly dampen egg template with water. 3. Apply pieces of cut crepe paper or tissue paper to the egg template. Use a wet paint brush to damped it. It is okay if the colors are overlapping! 4. Let it dry 10-15 minutes. 5. Remove the crepe paper/tissue paper by gently peeling it off. Discard (do not set on an uncovered surface as color may still transfer!) 6. Let dry. Cut out egg. Notes: *Crepe Paper and tissue paper both bleed ink when that can stain clothing and/or furniture. Be sure to work with a covered surface and wear appropriate clothing. *If you’d like, you can cut the egg template out FIRST so that it’s done in one sitting instead of having to wait for it to dry. #kidscraft #kidscraft #kidsactivity #kidsactivities #artsandcrafts #kidsart #kidscrafts101 #kidscraftideas #craftsforkids #craftsfortoddlers #craftsforchildren #easycrafts #easycraftsforkids #easyactivitiesforkids #elementaryart #elementaryartclass #yaysayers #easter #eastereggs #processart #processartforkids

Be sure to follow me to see all of the techniques!!! Supplies: Tin foil White Cardstock Washable Markers Scissors Spray Bottle with water Glitter Glue, Crayons, Markers (optional) Directions: 1. Cut piece of tin foil just larger than a piece of paper. 2. Color on the tin foil with washable markers. 3. Mist the tin foil and markers with water. 4. Place white cardstock onto tin foil. If you are using my template, the egg side should be down. 5. Gently peel up from one corner. Place on a covered surface to dry. Wipe up any excess water and marker ink. 6. Once dry, cut out egg. Notes: *You can use the same piece of tinfoil over and over. Use a paper towel to wipe the excess water and marker off between sheets of paper. Once the activity is done, you can save the tin foil for the next time you do this activity! #kidscraft #kidscraft #kidsactivity #kidsactivities #artsandcrafts #kidsart #kidscrafts101 #kidscraftideas #craftsforkids #craftsfortoddlers #craftsforchildren #easycrafts #easycraftsforkids #easyactivitiesforkids #elementaryart #elementaryartclass #yaysayers #easter #eastereggs #processart #processartforkids #tinfoilart #tinfoil

More techniques 👇 I love Easter Egg dying, but it can be messy with little kids (and there’s hot water involved!) I love finding ways for my kids to decorate Easter Eggs that are safer, less messy, and more enjoyable for them! This technique hits all of those things! Not to mention, trying different techniques and processes is GREAT for them developmentaly. Supplies: Hard boil or craft egg (We love craft eggs because then the kids can actually play with them after!) Coffee Filters Washable Markers @Crayola Spray bottle Water *Covered surface *You can use a paint brush but you don’t want to get it TOO wet (ie not dripping) Direction: 1. Color 2 coffee filters (stacked on top of each other) with permanent marker. More color on your coffee filters = More color on your eggs 2. Wrap coffee filters around egg (with colored side in). Twist top to secure egg inside. 3. Spray with water. 4. Open up to see your design!! 5. SAVE YOUR COFFEE FILTERS TO USE THEM IN OUR NEXT CRAFT!!!! 6. Follow me to see it!!! Additional egg decorating techniques: 🥚Food Coloring and Coffee Filters: Wrap egg in paper towel, drop with food coloring, add water, let dry, reveal 🥚Silk Tie: Wrap in silk tie, boil in water (real eggs only) 🥚Crayon and food coloring: Color eggs with white crayons, tie with food coloring 🥚 Shaving Cream (Not edible) or Cool Whip (Edible) and Food Coloring: Make marbled eggs! << SO COOL!! 🥚Colored Rice: Add rice and food coloring to a container or bag, add your egg, and shake 🥚Nail Polish (not edible): Add nail polish to water, dip egg 🚫 NOT AN EGG — but a simple and easy activity.. you can paint rocks into eggs! 🙋‍♀️Be sure to follow me for more kid-friendly activities!! And a huge thank you to @Laynah - Fun Homeschool Mom for putting me onto this mat!!! It is literally what I was needing!! #easter #eastereggs #easteregg #eastereggdecorating #kidfriendly #kidfriendlyactivities #kidscrafts #eastercrafts #eastercraftsforkids #craftideasforkids #craftideas #springcraftsforkids #springcrafts #yaysayers #CapCut

Supplies & Directions ⬇️ I am obsessed with homemade puffy paint!! I think the texture and process of painting with it is so unique, and I particularly love activities that can be modified for any theme!! 🐰🐰DM me on IG if you want the bunny template! Supplies: White Cardstock Paper (I prefer this because it is thicker) Glue (@Elmers School Glue) Shaving Cream Bowl Popsicle Stick (for stirring) Pink Paint (acrylic) Pink Crayon Paint Brush Scissors Black Pom Poms x 2 (if you don’t have pom poms, you can color black circles or cut out black paper circles) Black Pipe Cleaners Directions: Homemade Puffy Paint: 1. Mix together equal parts glue and shaving cream. Bunny: 1. Color small square pink. 2. Cut out shape of bunny head. (DM me and I’ll send you the one I made). 3. Cut out pink square (you can use a square of pink paper too) Fold square in half. Cut out heart shape. 4. Use a paint brush to cover the bunny head in white homemade puffy paint. The more you add, the puffier it will be. 5. Add a few drops of pink paint to puffy paint, stir. Add pink paint to the inside of the bunny ears. 6. Press two black pom poms into paint as eyes. Add pink nose. 7. Cut black pipe cleaner in two six ~1” pieces and one ~3” piece. 8. Add six 1” pieces as whiskers. 9. Fold 3” piece in half. Twist first half together (Starting from the closed side). Bend both tips up to create curved mouth. Set into puffy paint. 10. Let dry and look at how cute it is! 11. Follow me for more easy ideas to do with your kids!! To answer a few questions I’ve gotten about homemade puffy paint: Does it dry fluffy or hard? It dries fluffy!!! In fact, it actually gets more fluffy as it dries!! How long does it take to dry? It is dry to the touch in about 2 hours. The more puffy paint you add, the longer the INSIDE of the paint will take to dry. If you’re doing this is class, if it is possible, I’d recommend waiting to have them bring it home until the next day. It could be hung and displayed fairly quickly. Can I change the color? Yes! You can add a few drops of paint to make it the color you’d like. BUT do be careful not to add too much paint or it will change the consistency of the puffy paint. #kidscraft #kidscraft #kidsactivity #kidsactivities #artsandcrafts #kidsart #kidscrafts101 #kidscraftideas #craftsforkids #craftsfortoddlers #craftsforchildren #easycrafts #easycraftsforkids #easyactivitiesforkids #elementaryart #elementaryartclass #easter #easterbunny #bunny #bunnycraft #springcraft #springcraftsforkids #springcrafts #eastercrafts #eastercraftsforkids #🐰 #handmadewithjoann #yaysayers
