HOW TO DO A HANDSTAND FOR BEGINNERS (step 2) 🤸♂️ Elevated Pike Holds is the progression above Pike Holds that will further allow you to gain more strength necessary for the handstand. You’re ready to try the Elevated version only if you’re able to comfortably hold a Pike Hold off the floor. Now keep in mind the difficulty of Elevated Pike Holds vary depending on how high your elevation is. Ideally just start with something lower like a single stair step and gradually move up until you find where your strength level lies. Additionaly, the better you can stack your hips above your shoulders, the better it will transfer over to a real handstand. Work your way up to a 20-second Elevated Pike Hold and you’ll be ready for the next step. Follow for step 3!
