“How do I become an influencer” is one of my most common DM’s! Step one: post the content. Nobody is going to tell you when the right time is to start, you just start. Will your first post be your best work ever? No. But your first try at anything is a stepping stone to your second and third and fourth! There is a common misconception that this is a saturated market or that it’s too late… but I really don’t think that’s true! I feel like the first post is the hardest because of the fear that people in your real life will see it… but you don’t think that that also happened to every other girly who is now your favorite influencer? I’m sure people were like “lol who does she think she is” when I did my first makeup tutorial in 2019. But because I only really care about my inner circle, I have no idea what was said about me and I also didn’t care lol…my friends loved my content and would always support it even when I had no followers! Your close friends and family will love and support you no matter what. The whole point of influencing is for strangers to find you. So you can’t let your acquaintances, old classmate/coworkers prevent you from doing what you feel called to do. You can’t give someone that doesn’t have the pleasure of knowing you that much power over you!
