The Robinhood Gold Card Deep Dive THIS is the Robinhood Gold card, and on the surface it just might be the best cash back card in the game. Let’s dive in Anyone who’s been here for a while knows I am NOT a fan of Robinhood, but it’s my job to give you information regardless of how I feel And that’s why you follow me, because unbiased reporting is what we need more of For starters, the gold card boasts an impressive 5% back on travel BUT only if booked within the Robinhood Travel portal We have absolutely no idea what the travel portal will be like yet or if the prices will be competitive, so we’re just gonna have to wait and see The card also has all of these perks but these are standard for a majority of credit cards It also gains an impressive 3% back on all other purchases With the standard cash back on all categories being at 1.5% this is pretty big HOWEVER, there are already some sketchy things going on in the advertising of the card Robinhood is advertising their gold card as a no annual fee card, but you have to have RobinHood Gold in order to even be eligible to apply for the card RobinHood Gold costs $5/month or $50 if you pay for a year upfront There are other perks with RH Gold, but advertising the card as no annual fee feels slimy There’s also no sign up bonus or any verbiage (that I’ve found) that says the cash back rewards are unlimited, so there’s a good chance these 3-5% rates will be capped And if you lose your card, the replacement card fee is $40 which is the highest I’ve seen on any standard card, including American Express We also have no idea what the requirements to be approved for the card will be as this card is waitlist only for now In my opinon, if you’re not already a RobinHood Gold member, this card is hard sell when there are plenty of other cards with 2% or more cash back
