Back to it! We had a lazy morning before leaving Agua Dulce with good coffee and food available near where we camped. But then into the heat we ventured, greeted immediately by a 750m (2,500ft) climb… the sun was particularly hot and biting today and I really felt it more than I have previously. Our trail magic luck streak continued today though, with a welcome respite in the shade around lunchtime. A local couple had set up a barbecue and cooked us hotdogs accompanied by salad, fresh fruit and ice cold drinks. No better feeling in the world. After another big afternoon climb, we ticked off miles through the hills, eventually reaching a road where there was some space to camp near water. Almost another marathon in the books, and we are only a couple days away from ‘Hiker Town’ now. Day 28 Distance hiked: 41.1km (25.5mi) Total distance hiked: 878.7km (546mi)
