The last supper is way more significant and beautiful than you think!! Just as a Jewish man would offer a girl a cup of wine as a proposal, Jesus offered us His cup at the passover meal. Jesus is saying, “i give you my life.” He is literally proposing to us, His bride. We now have the choice to drink of the cup and say, “i accept your life and give you mine” or we can let it pass. But as we drink of the cup, we are inviting Jesus to be our spiritual husband. We are now in covanant with Him. Its just so incredible 😭 Lord, we did nothing to deserve that kind of love and sacrafice. The price you paid was so high that you sweat blood in the garden. You were in so much anguish that you asked if that cup could pass from you - yet you said not my will but yours be done. You went to the cross and paid the price. The spiritual warfare leading up to our wedding has been no joke. Satan hates marriage and hates when Godly people come together to glorify the Kingdom. The devil comes to steal, kill, and destoy (John 10:10) but though the weapon may be formed it will not prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We put on the armor of God and use the sword of the spirit to fight our battles. Worship, prayer, scripture - these are our weapons against the evil forces. We stand in authority and in truth in Jesus name! Today’s Holy & Hormonal let’s chat about how drastically different the male and female hormonal cycles are!! Men operate on a 24-hour cycle whereas women are on a 28 day cycle. This means that all the things women feel in 28 days, men feel in 24 hours. Women move slower through their phases, which are each very different and unique. For example, in the luteal phase, this is where women will feel PMS symptoms like mood swings, bloating, painful cramps, etc. If you’re a man reading this .. can you imagine waking up 14 days straight feeling this way?! Verses like James 1:2-4 become more real and beautiful when you understand that the battlefield is the place where God is renewing your heart and mind. It’s the place where God is equipping you to stand firm in trusting Him. It’s the place where you learn what the armor of God looks like. We too quickly want to pray away our suffering, but in the pressure and heat is where diamonds are formed. Rather than pray it away, ask God to partner with you IN it and He will walk you THROUGH it. Thats where we find peace that surpasses all understanding. Thats where we start to look and act more like Jesus. My best tip for overcoming temptations like p*rn, lust, addictions, etc, is to become so self-disciplined in another area of your life. Whether that’s waking up at 7 am daily, exercising for 30 mins a day, reading 2 chapters of a book every night - these small routines/disciplines will help strengthen your “no” muscle so when you do face temptations, it’s a lot easier to not give in. It also helps prove to yourself that you can stand in victory so the harder battles don’t seem as difficult. At the end of the day, find what works for you and remember Romans 8:1 - no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. Let’s get reaaal for a moment about mommy/daddy issues. It’s safe to say we all have some sort of wound we carry from our childhood and if left unresolved, turns into resentment, bitterness, and unforgiveness. We start to ask questions like “well they should have just known how to love me, they’re my mom/dad.” But God really convicted me because He said, “well, you should know how to love me too but you don’t always know.. and that’s okay, you’re still my child and I love you but sometimes people just need to be taught.” We sometimes forget that our parents carry their own set of wounds, too. They have experienced pain, neglect, abuse, and trauma in their past that they need healing from. I’m not invalidating your pain, in fact I’m saying that there’s so much pain inside your heart that you have to get alone with Jesus to heal first things first. You’re deeply broken and bruised and God wants to renew your heart so you can show your parents the love of Christ because of what He’s done for you. This is not easy by any means, I am literally living through this right now and it’s really really hard. How can you truly forgive someone? The moment I encountered Jesus was during a break up phone call. My ex at the time blindsided me and I felt my life crumbling from the inside out. He said things that were so beyond hurtful, it was like a knife was being plunged into my heart. But I heard the voice of God say, “love him through it.” I took that as yay we’re going to get back together! But God really meant.. don’t let the bitterness and pain rot your heart, love him through this and forgive him. We are commanded to forgive others because God forgave US. While we were still sinners, He died for us. God’s funny because women used to break my heart and now my heart is broken FOR women. On this international women’s day I just wanna thank Jesus for redeeming my broken relationships with women. My mom and I were like oil and water growing up and I was constantly bullied in school by girls. I started to learn that women couldn’t be trusted and that they didn’t have my back. My heart grew sooo cold to women and even though it was a protective shield from getting hurt it ended up rotting away at my spirit. But Jesus stepped in and reminded me that I am HIS daughter. And He sent the most Godly women I’ve ever met to restore my broken heart and teach me the love of Christ. I LOVE ALL YOU GIRLIES SO MUCH. My period has me so exhausted today and reading my Bible feels like a chore. Sometimes its hard to feel strong in your faith when your hormones are weighing you down. But rather than overwhelm myself with guilt, I’m reminded that there’s a million other ways to spend time with Jesus. Listening to worship music alone, sending a word of encouragement to a friend, spending quality time with family, volunteering, cooking a meal while listening to a sermon, going on a prayer walk, literally sitting in silence in your room, these things are all worship, too. Remember these things next time you’re feeling run down, tired from your period, or when your hormones are going crazy. God is with you in all things and He is everywhere. Let’s Get Real - a safe space where we dive deeper into the depths of our hurt, pain, trauma and shame with God. Not surface level “real”… actually real things. It breaks my heart to see the body of Christ suffering in silence. I truly feel a call from the Lord to get real about the things that the Church typically dances around. And it’s not that churches don’t have some conversations about them, some do an amazing job at it, it’s that there’s rarely a prompting or a safe space to go deeper. There’s people deeply hurting and I want to create a space where we can feel and heal in the name of Jesus and by the power of His Blood. God doesn’t want you to be chained to your pain - He wants you to walk in freedom. We’re going to get reaaaal about things okay - hormones/your period, depression, comparison, spiritual warefare, forgiveness, breakups, sexuality, everything.
