I do want to add that there’s nothing wrong with having fast food sometimes—the keyword being ‘sometimes’. However, the problem is we eat out of convenience daily, whether it be actual meals or snacking on high-calorie, highly processed stuff. This habit can cause us to exceed our calorie needs due to a lack of portion control. By making simple switches like this daily, you can save a lot of calories and help with your weight loss. #weightloss #highprotein #macrofriendly #eating #modifiedmacros #gastfoodie

every day this week I’ll be posting a video of some meals we can make for this upcoming weekend to help us stay on track. This is one of my favorites you got to give this a try! 🔻🔻🔻🔻🔻🔻🔻🔻🔻🔻 Macros per short rib: Calories: 187 Protein: 14 Fat: 13 Carbs: 5 Ingredients: * 2 lbs beef flanken short ribs (rendered 13 ribs for us) * 1/4 cup light soy sauce * 1 tbsp sesame oil * 1/4 yellow onion * 1 tbsp minced garlic * 1/4 cup Splenda brown sugar blend * 1/2 tbsp black pepper * 1/2 lime Instructions: * In a blender or food processor, combine the light soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, Splenda brown sugar blend, black pepper, the juice from half a lime, and the quartered yellow onion. Blend until you have a smooth marinade mixture. * Place the beef flanken short ribs in a large zip-top bag or a shallow dish suitable for marinating. * Pour the blended marinade over the short ribs, ensuring that each rib is coated evenly. If using a zip-top bag, seal it tightly, removing as much air as possible. If using a dish, cover it with plastic wrap or a lid. * Allow the short ribs to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight. This will allow the flavors to penetrate the meat and enhance its taste. * Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. * Remove the marinated short ribs from the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes. * Place the short ribs on the grill, directly over the heat source. Cook for approximately 3-4 minutes per side, or until the ribs reach your desired level of doneness. The exact cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the ribs and the heat of your grill. * While grilling, you can brush some of the leftover marinade onto the ribs for added flavor, if desired. Be sure to discard any marinade that has come into contact with raw meat. * Once cooked, transfer the short ribs to a serving platter and let them rest for a few minutes to allow the juices to redistribute. Note: we like to garnish the ribs with sliced green onions or sesame seeds for added visual appeal. #SuperBowl #superbowlsunday #superbowlfood #weightloss #modifiedmacros #heavytomodified

Since I was in junior high, my goal was to do a pull-up because in PE, I was the only one who couldn’t even hang on the bar. Since junior high, my goal was to lose weight, but I always gave up on myself. I never pushed myself past the boundaries I set, so I accepted them. I was just a fat friend, and that became my identity. After years of talking about changing, after years of lying to myself, I decided being fat was no longer going to be my identity, and I was tired of giving up on myself. I know we hear this every single day that we are our worst enemies, but I’m here as living proof that I was my worst enemy. I held myself back. I told myself I couldn’t do it, and this is not a book; this is coming from my life. Stop giving up on yourself. Stop disbelieving in yourself because you never know what’s on the other side. #weightlosstransformation #weightlossjourney #weightlossstory #dontgiveup
