I used to experience shoulder pain on almost every pressing motion. Pain like this can be really discouraging when you’re trying your best to reach your goals. It wasn’t until I focused on proper mobility and correcting my imbalances that I noticed this pain completely disappear. To clarify, I’m not saying this will 100% cure all of your problems, especially if you have serious shoulder injuries, however it’s a good place to start! Your reminder that healing takes time. You can’t rush the process. However there are multiple things I’ve changed about my habits to get to this point today. Number 1 is diet. Eat good, feel good. Prioritize whole foods and proper protein intake. Number 2 is activity. While structured exercise can help us meet our goals, it only accounts for roughly 5% of your total daily energy expenditure. Get your body moving more outside of the gym! Number 3 is proper rest. You must allow your body to heal before pushing it again.
