Anywho- for those of you new here…Last year, I sent my music off to some big country music labels to see what they thought, and the response was the same across the board: it wasn’t “pop” enough. I saved those responses, and I look at them from time to time and I laugh. The thought of ME sounding “too traditional” made me chuckle. It got me thinking how there are so many great “traditional” artists making great music out there who are wildly underrated, and VERY FEW are supported by the big industry folks (unless they go viral on tiktok lol). I wrote this song with some friends (Braden, Sahara, and Zoe) about those feelings I was having. An open letter to the industry big dogs, if you will. Not to the artists, though. Take the corporate outta country. #countrymusic
