This is Maple's 🍁 tail. It was really small so I was originally unsure how to prepare it. So I ended up just boiling it and eating it with some chili fish sauce. It was way better than I was expecting it to be. #selfreliance #survival #Cooking #Foodie #AsianCuisine #idahopasturepig
Wish I could have used this opportunity to learn and share my experience with y'all but that's okay because I plan on getting Rabbits soon. #foraging #liveofftheland #bushcraft #survival #selfreliance #rocketracoon #racoon
In many Asian cultures, eating fish whole with the skin on is common, while most Americans typically fillet their fish. Growing up, my household didn't even know what a fillet knife was. Here's how to clean and prepare catfish with the skin on. Hope you learn something new! #selfreliance #bushcraft #survival #fishing #asianculture #asiancuisine
This spring naturally runs 24/7 year round and never turns off. The water is filtered thru limestone and earth and collects in an underground aquaphor. The water is incredibly cold and refreshing. It's been tested monthly for over 30 years with no evidence of bacteria ever. #springwater
This was last year's process of making prosciutto. I am very close to showing you an update on the finalized item. I'm incredibly excited and proud of the outcome. Its turned out amazing. Stay tuned! #survival #livestock #raisingpigs #selfreliance #idahopasturepigs
This was the butchering process that I did last year of the Idaho pasture pick that I raised named Maple 🍁. The reason why you saw dark spots and light spots on the skin was because when it was sitting in the fridge it wasn't getting the proper air flow so some spots didn't dry the way I wanted it to but it wasn't a problem because after butchering it up I was able to put the individual pieces in the fridge to dry further. then afterwards I put everything in the freezer. recently I've been spending time taking out meat and preparing it. I'm excited to show you guys what I plan on doing with everything. #bushcraft #selfreliance #idahopasturepig #livestock
This spring water runs 24/7 year round even during the winter. There would be huge mounds of ice that form around it but the pipes don't freeze and always run. It's quite fascinating. #spring #springwater
I want to share a personal reflection about Maple 🍁, the Idaho pasture pig I raised and butchered last year. I've been feeling like I haven't fully honored her because I haven't accomplished everything I planned with the meat I acquired. A big reason for this has been the overwhelming negativity and constant jokes that people make about Maple and my efforts. The endless criticism has been draining, and it's kept me from doing more with the meat. Most of it is still in the freezer, but I'm committed to putting in the effort to create more videos showcasing what I've learned. I appreciate your patience and support. I hope these upcoming videos reach those who truly understand and appreciate this journey. Thank you! 🙏 #survival #bushcraft #selfreliance #idahopasturepig #livestock
