Replying to @Alex if you own chinchillas what sorts of toys/fun things do you do to make their lives better? Always looking for suggestions :) i make lots of toys from paper towel rolls too!
These little rodents are some of the coolest but most care specific animals I’ve cared for! They need SO many specific items in their diet. Its been a fun challenge learning how to propely care for them. Keeping a close eye on them and their health helps me determine whether my care/what I’ve learnt is optimal for them to thrive :) if you keep micro squirrels - tell me a bit about your care! What do you find most challenging/what would a new keeper NEED to know? #microsquirrel#animals#pets#rodent#dormmice#exoticpets#exotic
Replying to @Nick ots perfectly okay to be scared of an animal AS LONG AS you can also respect them. They deserve it. Also, for those wondering how releasing CB animals into their native habitat has a negative effect, look into wildlife management. Had a course on it in college. Super important not to overload any ecosystem with any one species. They are meant to sustain a certain # of each species. Adding too many or taking away too many can severely disrupt the food chain and have devastating effects in the ecosystem. #animals#reptiles#snakes#rescue
