Self portrait and feelings. I try so hard to not let the negative voice in my head win. It’s been so loud and overpowering for the last few years again. I’m embarrassed to say I let it win. I believed its words to be true. The darkness overtook in the shape of words. I haven’t truly felt like myself in a long time. The good thing about darkness is that it will always be taken over by the light. As easy as it was to write down the things I don’t like about myself it was even easier to write down the things I do like. I even wrote down more positive than negative. The darkness and voices will always be there in some way or form but we have the power to control it. Those negative things aren’t true. I just have to do my best to prove it to myself.✨❤️ I started this self portrait last night after a long week. I needed to let it out. Art is my favorite thing and what makes me happy, safe, and complete.
