Or in my case, a new tool I bought which was way too sharp and dug into my nail - which is why I switched to a plastic scraper after. When you're soaking off gel polish, it should easily flake off or be soft enough to scrape off with ease. If you're struggling, then keep soaking until it comes off easily. What's worked for me as aftercare is to hydrate your hands and nails and give them a break for a day or two before applying your next gel/nail polish. I finally have an update to my rubber base experiment! In conclusion, I liked it a lot and it definitely helped keep my nails from breaking or cracking.
