Pepper steak on the Blackstone is the perfect meal while you're at camp! @stephvnietea shows you how to make this delicious and stunning dish while on the go. This is a must-try recipe! Ingredients 1 green bell pepper, cubed into bite-sized pieces 1 red bell pepper, cubed into bite-sized pieces 1 small onion, cubed into bite-sized pieces 3-4 cloves garlic, finely minced 2 tbsp butter Cooking oil For the Marinade 1 1/2 lb ribeye or beef tenderloin, cubed into bite-sized pieces 1 tbsp oyster sauce 1 tbsp shao xing cooking wine 1/2 tbsp soy sauce 1/2 tbsp dark soy sauce 1 tsp sugar 1/4 tsp baking soda (to tenderize) 1/4 tsp kosher salt For the Sauce 2 tbsp oyster sauce 1/2 tbsp dark soy sauce 1/2 tbsp cornstarch (to thicken sauce) 2 tsp sugar 1/4 tsp ground black pepper Directions 1. Prep and cut the bell pepper, onion, and garlic. Set aside. 2. Marinate the beef with oyster sauce, shao xing wine, soy sauce, dark soy sauce, sugar, baking soda, and kosher salt. Allow it to marinate for 15 mins. 3. In a small bowl, combine oyster sauce, dark soy sauce, cornstarch, sugar, and black pepper to make the sauce. Set aside. 4. Heat the Blackstone griddle on high heat and add cooking oil to coat the griddle. 5. Sauté onions and garlic for 1 minute or until onions are slightly translucent. Then add red and green bell peppers and sauté for another 1-2 minutes. Set to one side of the griddle. 6. Melt butter on the other side of the griddle. Add the marinated beef and spread it out evenly on the griddle to char on each side. Cook about 2-3 mins on each side. 7. Once the beef is about 90% cooked, toss in the peppers and onions together along with the sauce. Sauté for another minute or two. 8. Ingredients 3 Honey Crisp Apples, quartered and seeded 3 Granny Smith Apples, quartered and seeded ½ stick unsalted butter 1 ½ cups brown sugar 1 cup orange juice ¼ cup bourbon Vanilla ice cream 1 cup crunchy granola Blackstone Spicy Brown Sugar Seasoning Directions 1. Preheat your Blackstone to medium-high heat. Add the butter and apples, cooking for 5 minutes, tossing often. 2. Stir in the brown sugar and orange juice, cooking for an additional 5-8 minutes or until the sugar dissolves and the liquid reduces to a maple syrup consistency. First time ever trying to touch the Ka’bah and the black stone. and the process couldn’t have been more smoother. . . Patience, pure intentions and sincerity is the key more than anything. . Some tips from my research and having done it for people that want to do this. . Aim to go two hours after Fajr as most people will be going back to rest and the weather also is good and not too hot. . Don’t go in the opposite flow of traffic past the black stone as you’ll most likely get drifted off or you’ll have to harm people to reach it, instead go with the flow of traffic and attempt to be 2 lines away from the Yemeni corner until half way through, after which hold on to the kiswa or put your left shoulder on the Ka’bah whichever is easier. . Stay patient and expect surges of pushes (don’t initiate it yourself) and just have a smile and tell people to sabr if they are struggling. If you see anyone old next to you be careful and make sure they don’t end up slipping and sinking under. Help them if you can by letting them hang on to your shoulder or arm, don’t be selfish and treat it like some hunger games. . Aim for the the two biggest fragments in the black stone (check diagrams online before doing it). . Hold on to your ihram as my top got pulled off. . Wouldn’t advise if you are physically very unfit as your heart rate will go up from purely the pressure hence I wore my Apple Watch to make sure my heart doesn’t go funny. .
