Not saying that a lil lean back is the culprit behind ALL of your lack of bicep gains, but if you’re training extremely hard, eating enough, getting adequate sleep and still not noticing progress with your biceps (especially if other muscle groups are responding well), the next thing to look to is your form. Naturally with a standing bicep curl you’ll get an urge to lean back as you approach failure, thus I recommend to lean FORWARD INTO (ironic I know lmao) the curl by keeping your chin down and thinking about staying as straight as a board by flexing your abs as if you were gonna be punched. #fyp #Fitness #gym #bodybuilding #biceps

“dO hEavY hAmMeR cUrLs fOr bIg aRmS bRo” - really? 🤨👇🏼 I’m seeing more & more people trying to do super heavy hammer curls thinking it’ll result in bigger biceps. Yes, you can move more load using a neutral grip doing hammer curls, yes, it makes you feel good about yourself, but no, it won’t give you the big arms that you want & it’s providing a pretty p*ss poor bicep stimulus. Unless you’re specifically trying to grow the brachialis - which won’t necessarily be the difference between big or small arms, I honestly wouldn’t do these often to grow my biceps. There are plenty of exercises that target the biceps to a greater extent & will give you more growth over time. As for the principle of using a super heavy weight, swinging & using momentum, over a seated variant or a preacher curl, it’s going to make a big difference in your arm growth. I’m not saying you can’t or shouldn’t do hammer curls by the way, they’re a fine exercise, of course you can do them & with proper execution you’ll definitely see more growth in the brachialis, my point is - let’s get our priorities straight! Try prioritizing single arm work 2️⃣ Stick to the same exercises each week 3️⃣ Train them 1 or 2x per week (you don’t need more than that) 4️⃣ Train close to, or to failure 5️⃣ Rest at least 3 min between your sets 6️⃣ Make getting stronger your goal (Do NOT chase a pump or a burn - those will not drive growth, despite being fun to attain) Full development of the Forearms, Biceps, and Triceps takes years of hard work. I did not develop the “thick” look until perhaps 4-5 years into training. Stay patient.
