✨Izzy’s Broken Leg Update✨ • It wasn’t what we hoped. The upper part of the spiral fracture is still not healed. We aren’t sure why it’s taking so long. The Dr. said calcium, vit D (which we’d already been doing), and lots of sunshine. Thankfully we are seeing more of that lately. • While it is forward progress as she did get out of a cast and into a boot and will be working toward eliminating her need for the crutches, and hopefully some weight bearing will further encourage the bone healing…it’s not what we hoped to hear. • She had set her sights on trying to move from XCEL to JO at our gym which is hard to do and very competitive. While it’s not completely out of the question, the longer she is out of training the less time she will have to catch back up and master the new skills she would need because JO competition season is in the fall.
